Paterson MP Meryl Swanson has reissued her call to Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to meet with Williamtown residents affected by the PFAS contamination saga.

The call has come after the reports in the Toowoomba Chronicle that Mr Turnbull visited Oakey residents in a ‘secret’ last-minute meeting late last week.

“I am pleased that the Prime Minister has found the time to meet with residents affected by PFAS contamination around Oakey Army Aviation Centre,” Ms Swanson said.

“However, residents of Williamtown, Salt Ash and Fullerton Cove are still waiting for the same courtesy to be extended to them.”

Ms Swanson today sent another letter to the Prime Minister, inviting him to meet with residents in the local community at his earliest opportunity.

“With the PFAS taskforce now being run out of the Prime Minister’s office, meeting with residents is more important than ever,” Ms Swanson said.
