Applications Open for Building Better Regions Fund Grants
Applications are now being sought for a share in funding under the Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) – a fund specifically for projects outside capital cities.
This $481.6million fund supports the Australian Government’s commitment to create jobs, drive economic growth and build stronger regional communities.
Round Two applications for grants between $20,000 and $10million are now being received.
Submissions will close on December 19, 2017.
Who can apply?
The program has two streams: infrastructure projects, and community investments.
There are a number of eligibility requirements that must be met in each stream. These include, at a minimum, that:
- the applicant must be a legal entity,
- have an ABN, and
- be either a local governing body or a not-for-profit organisation.
What can the grants be for?
The Infrastructure Projects Stream supports projects that involve the construction of new infrastructure, or the upgrade or extension of existing infrastructure that provides economic and social benefits to regional and remote areas.
The Community Investments Stream funds new or expanded local events, strategic regional plans, and leadership and capability strengthening activities. These projects will deliver economic and social benefits to regional remote communities.
Infrastructure projects are not eligible for the Community Investments Stream.
