Federal Member for Paterson Meryl Swanson today met and congratulated Philadelphia Coleman, of Salt Ash, who was at Parliament House as one of 12 winners in the Country to Canberra Leadership Competition. The winners, young rural women who submitted passionate videos and stories about why gender equality is important to them, have been treated to a two-day all-expenses-paid trip to Canberra to meet MPs and other influential women, and train in leadership, public speaking and team building.…

Federal Member for Paterson Meryl Swanson today in Parliament highlighted the way in which the rollout of the National Broadband Network was failing the residents of Paterson. In commenting on the House Economics Committee’s report into the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) annual report, tabled in Parliament this week, Ms Swanson said there were three issues raised by the committee that were very relevant to her electorate: competition in the banking sector, petrol price fluctuation, and download speeds of internet service providers.…
