Statement from Meryl Swanson: I have contacted the office of the Minister for Health, Sussan Ley, again today, asking when the review of the enHealth guidelines will be made public. A second community, in Oakey, has been thrown into confusion by the release of a Human Health Risk Assessment that does not appear to spell out the risks to human health of PFAS contamination from Defence bases. I can understand the anger and distrust of the Oakey community; it echoes what is being felt by communities surrounding the Williamtown RAAF base. It’s especially distressing, given the front page of the Newcastle Herald today. My heart goes out to Angela Gill, of Tanilba Bay, to whom I have written today.…
