STUDENT WELLBEING BOOST

The Albanese Government is delivering the $203 million Student Wellbeing Boost (the Boost) to support students’ mental health and wellbeing. On average, schools will receive $20,000 depending on student population and need. The roll-out of this program delivers on our election commitment.

This additional one-off funding can be used for counsellors or psychologists. It can also go towards camps, excursions and other proven wellbeing and mental health initiatives. The government is working with state and territory governments on the roll-out.

GUIDE TO THRIVE – PRIMARY TO HIGH SCHOOL TRANSITION

The transition from primary school to high school is a critical time in the life of a child and like any change, it can also be daunting.

The Albanese Labor Government has committed $6 million in ongoing funding over the next four years to enable Life Ed to continue delivering its important health and safety programs for children and young people.

These resources aim to help make the switch from primary school to high school do what they can to make the transition easier.
