NBN FULL FIBRE UPGRADES
Residents in Beresfield, Kurri Kurri, Maitland, Medowie, Raymond Terrace, Rutherford, Telarah and Thornton will be able to upgrade to a full-fibre broadband connection.
The copper broadband network – a legacy of the former Coalition Government – is holding back local residents and businesses. It is slower, less reliable and more likely to experience prolonged faults.
This announcement is on top of the suburbs the Communications Minister, Michelle Rowland MP and I announced last year. Labor will expand access to a fibre-based NBN to an additional 1.5 million premises by 2025.
The Albanese Labor Government is delivering for our community.
And I know that these investments will make a meaningful difference to the quality of life for local residents and businesses.
